This blod site is typical of other left wing bloggers looking to blame others for the lazy lives they have made for themselves. Try living in Russia and perhaps you may appreciate what you have here. Work hard, be honest and maybe you will become successful, all you other parasites live off those of us who work and contribute to our free and great nation.

Seems like the point of this blog and, I am guessing, others like it is to stir up some business for competing landlords. I wonder what the result of the "free apartment rent history" that I "must call and order" would tell me. Hmmmm. Maybe there is a cheaper apartment in a shitty part of town?

I have been living in a Tauber Propery for four years now and they are a great landlord. Definitely would recommend their properties.

I had to file a formal complaint with the NYS Attorney to get security deposit back. Called at least twenty times, emailed half that amount and still no reply. Was a perfect tenant and even cleaned the place when moved out. Would never do business with them again and I work for a relocation company so Alan Tauber will lose all my business. I place approximately 20-40 tenants in NYC per month! His loss!

I put a deposit on a property, but Tauber property decided to give the apartment to a tenant who promised to pay more. Michael Tauber refused to return the $500 cash deposit to me until I sought outside help and called repeatedly to get it back. I had to file a formal complaint with the NYS Attorney and Better Business Bureau. I would never refer anyone to a management company that acts in such a disreputable manner to current--or potential-- clients. I've never had an experience like this before!

NYS state senator refers to the entire family as shameless criminals. HE ACTUALLY HELD A PRESS CONFERENCE IN FRONT OF A tauber bldg. They are considered to be one of the worst in the city. always use your sec. AS THE LAST MONTS RENT The tauber have actually resorted to lying about their last names when you meet them in person as a possible renter

We have rented with Tauber Properties before and have always found them to be great Landlords, responsible and respectful to our needs, quick to respond to any complaints and have found them to run a top level operation. I guess whomever set up this site was with the obvious intention of smearing them and not to actually disclose the truth, which is I would recommend them to anyone considering moving to New York City.

Alan Tauber not only cheats his tenants, he also cheats on his wife every at every opportunity that is presented. He no morals and feels entitled to do whatever he wants without worrying about consequences. Not only did he cheat our family out of our security deposit, he made unwanted advances at our nanny. Our nanny thought he was single.

I was perfectly happy in the 3 years I lived in my apartment until it was time to move out. I was told to let every broker in the city come in whenever they pleased to show prospective tenants the apartment. When I gave a time frame for every day of the week, he told me I was in breach of contract if I didn't let them in whenever they wanted. Fortunately someone took the apartment just a few days later and I only had to deal with one broker trying to let themselves into the apartment while I was in the shower. As for the security deposit, it took 11+ weeks, over a dozen phone calls and emails and then I had to threaten legal action just to get my it back. DO NOT RENT FROM TAUBER PROPERTIES

I JUST MOVED OUT OF ONE OF TAUBER'S WEST 85TH STREET PROPERTIES AFTER 7 YEARS. I HATED LEAVING BUT HAD TO DOWNSIZE AFTER A DIVORCE. I HAD TO GET OUT QUICKLY AND IN THE MIDDLE OF MY LEASE. I WAS TREATED WITH RESPECT AND FAIRNESS AND RECEIVED MY SECURITY BACK IN FULL. THANKS ALAN FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP. IF MORE NYC LANDLORDS RAN THEIR PROPERTIES LIKE YOU, THIS CITY WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE. THANKS AGAIN AND GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE

I LOVE READING THE FAKE POST BY THE TAUBER THIEFS NO ONE WHO HAS RENTED FROM THESE THIEFS WOULD POST ANYTHING POSITIVE. WHEN A STATE SENATOR HOLDS A PRESS CONFERENCE IN FRONT OF ONE OF THEIR BLDGS AND CALLS THEM SHAMELESS THIEFS ENOUGH SAID FOR ME. POST ANOTHER FAKE POSITIVE REVIEW NOW TAUBERS

Amazingly terrible landlord... When we put in our application he acted like he was doing us a huge favor by letting us rent his apartment. And it took over 6 months of emailing and calling to get our security deposit back (of course I had to go pick it up). Never do business with them!

These guys are crooks. Always use your security deposit as your last month's rent. You won't get it back even if you were an amazing tenant.

These D-bags take FOREVER to return a security deposit, or even a phone call for that matter. Most unprofessional sheisters in NYC. They're rude, unaccommodating and expect nothing but the best in return...which is exactly how I treated them b/c I have class and dignity. These folks will experience Karma, I'm completely sure of that. Do not deal with them unless you're prepared to wait many months to receive your security deposit back, get any maintenance done or get anything else done that would benefit you, the tenant. BEWARE, TAUBER IS F-ED UP!!!

After 2 years of living in a Tauber building I never saw this man's face or even got him on the phone. Seems shady. They refused to fix the broken (unable to lock) front door the building. It took two complaints about homeless people staying in the foyer for them to finally fix it. It's been 6 months since I moved out & they refuse to send me my security deposit. They want me to schedule a time to pick it up. I've never had a worse experience than with Tauber. It's unbelievable.

I will echo what others have said in that Tauber Properties is a fraud. Fuck these guys. Took nearly a year to get my security deposit back and the whole time, they were unresponsive. Had to complain to the city and then sue them to get any action. But even then, they probably could give a shit. They've been in this business for many years and figured out all of the loopholes to maximize their profit and minimize their expense, like any good business. However, it sucks that the joke is on the tenant. RENTER BEWARE!

These sleazy J#ews got started with cab driver. Along with cousins, they put their $$ together and purchased buildings downtown and upper west side. Cheap buildings they can put little to NO money in. They are criminal slum lords. However, being J#ews, connections in NYC, they are hardly ever penalized. The amount of money they roll in, compared to the upkeep of their buildings is beyond criminal. Period!!

POINT being, they can do whatever they want and they won't get penalized. If these properties were owned/run by African Americans, Latinos - the FBI, CIA would be up their a$$es taking away their property. They would never let them get away with this. That's the point. It's Slumlords J#ws combination of both!! They own the City and nothing ever happens. One landlord laughed and said "You're losing a days work, they can't touch me."

I lived in a studio rented to me by Alan Tauber between 2012-2015. Before I moved in, I read this site and was extremely nervous about moving in to the unit I saw, however the price was well below anything I saw anywhere else on the UWS, especially for the amenities that came with my studio (extra long studio on Central Park with a dishwasher and exposed brick), so I decided to take my chances.

During the 2 years I lived there, my building was quiet, well-maintained, and I could not have been happier with the area and the apartment. The super came within 24 hours every time I called, which was only for one issue repeatedly (loud radiator knocking, which they unfortunately were never able to fix. Given the rent I paid, I still considered it a steal).

I had to break my lease in February of this year, which Alan was extremely understanding about. From these reviews, I was so nervous about not getting my security deposit back. However Alan NOT ONLY refunded me my security deposit back in full, he also refunded me back part of my February rent, as he was able to get tenants moved in mid-month. He could have kept my security deposit since I moved out early, and was under no obligation to let me know tenants had moved in, let alone provide me an additional refund for my Feb rent. I did have to call a few times, but Kara was always polite, and the process was straightforward.

Maybe some of the complaints on this site really did happen (agree this website is shady and likely sponsored by a competing real estate firm), but I have never had anything but a positive experience in the apartment I rented from Alan Tauber.

Working with the Taubers has been a nightmare. Very difficult and VERY creepy!!! One constantly found excuses to talk about very personal topics that were other than the matter at hand! That was settling our dispute regarding my deposit!!!! Terribly unsettling. Be VERY careful to AVOID business with these people.

TENANTS- PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT YOU CAN EASILY GO AFTER ALAN TAUBER AND GET YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK. HE POCKETS THE CASH WITH NO INTENTION OF GIVING IT BACK. HE HAD TOLD ME THAT HIS LEASE IS WRITTEN THAT WAY. IF SOMEONE DOES NOT GIVE EXACTLY 60 DAYS NOTICE TO TERMINATE, HE IS ENTITLED TO KEEP THEIR MONEY.

NEW LAWS PROTECT US AGAINST THE TAUBER LANDLORDS.
